In my opinion, the greatest player ever; Messi is the most brilliant and dazzling player of our times, and maybe ever. Despite a growth deficiency, Messi is the 4x. Reigning world's best player (not this year due to injury). He is the the best player on Barcelona, arguably the greatest team ever, and has consistently been playing at the highest level for years. His speed, dribbling,passing, and shooting are all brought together by his brilliant soccer IQ. You never know what he is going to do or how he is going to do something because he thinks on a level that is unmatched. Messi is and has been the best player because he has mind that has made his skillso valuable.
 

The Brains

Xavi Hernandez is a center midfielder that plays for FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team. Coming through La Masia, Barcelona's training academy, at the age of 11, Xavi has been a leading figure in history's best soccer team alongside Iniesta. At age 34 he still plays a pivotal role on the team and is set to join the MLS soon. He is a perfect fit for "the brains" of our perfect soccer player, as he is regarded as one of the most intelligent and visionary players in the world. He says it himself, "All I do is look for spaces. That's what I do." He is the perfect playmaker and brain for our perfect player.​
